Our story
Founded in 2022 in Bengaluru, Krira Gallery began with a single belief — that extraordinary art should not be confined to geography, to privilege, or to the physical limits of a room with four walls.
Krira Gallery was founded by Priyanka Singh, a collector and former art educator who spent a decade watching extraordinary work go unseen — not for lack of quality, but for lack of access. The gallery's name is drawn from the Sanskrit word कृत — "made with intention."
From a small studio in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, Krira began representing six artists. Within two years, it had facilitated over 320 collections across 12 countries, entirely online, with zero gallery walls.
We believe the relationship between artist and collector should be direct, transparent, and long-lasting. We do not chase trends. We do not rush artists. We invest in the long arc of a practice.
"Art does not need a room. It needs the right light, and the right person standing in it."
— Priyanka Singh, Founder
Our curatorial approach is deliberate and slow. We rarely add new artists to the programme — when we do, it is because we have spent months, sometimes years, following a practice and waiting for the right moment to introduce it to our collectors.
We are not a marketplace. We are a gallery — one that happens to exist everywhere at once.
